In XMFC 34:10-34:14 Charles lifts Erik out of the water. In fact, they surface simultaneously, both gasping, and there’s actually a frame in there (which I can’t capture on my terrible laptop) where Charles arches his back, his mouth open, holding Erik in front of him, also with his mouth open. Because the scene where Charles and Erik surface when Charles saves Erik from drowning has been grossly overlooked. It’s either heavy religious or sexual innuendo. (Ok, perhaps even Darwinian innuendo, bu that goes with the latter).
And do you know what the painful symmetry is? The way Charles arches his back and FALLS when the bullet hits his spine because of Erik.
